Assets may be logically linked to other assets. Asset Links are arbitrary links describing the logical relationship between two assets.
The nature of the relationship link determines whether the links are uni-directional or bi-directional.
Asset Links are uni-directional if the link can be similarly described from the perspective of each participant in the linkage. Examples of uni-directional links include:
Bi-directional Asset Links are those for which a link in one direction needs to be defined distinctly from the converse link. The following examples represent pairs of converse bi-directional links:
